Leading Dutch and German consultants cooperate
Netherlands-based Compendeon and Feri Institutional Advisors of Germany, both leading institutional financial consultants in their respective countries, today announced their plans for a broad cooperative agreement.
The main goal is to cooperate in servicing existing and new institutional clients headquartered in either country by leveraging the expertise and resources of both partners. Compendeon's & Feri's widely recognised expertise in strategic consulting, asset allocation and investment manager selection for international pension funds and other institutional investors, and Feri's specialised expertise in alternative assets - private equity, hedge funds, commodities and international real estate, etc. - for a mixed clientele of institutional and high net-worth investors, will now be available to clients of both groups.
Apart from traditional institutional consulting services, 'implemented consulting solutions', e.g. customised multi-manager solutions in all assets classes - either direct or through overlays - are expected to be of primary interest to institutional and high net-worth investors in both the Netherlands and Germany.
Lou ten Cate, Compendeon's CEO comments, 'We are very pleased with this cooperation. It enables us to speed up our European ambitions and will enlarge our mutual positions.'
Dirk Söhnholz, partner and managing director in charge of international development at Feri Institutional Advisors added, 'We are proud that we convinced Compendeon to cooperate with us and feel certain that this agreement will be especially beneficial to our international clients.'
Background information:
Compendeon was founded in 2004 as an independent advisory firm that offers pension funds a complete range of top quality financial services such as, strategic consultancy, pension management, pension execution, asset management and communication.
Demographic changes, higher costs due to increased complexity, and changing regulations have all combined to complicate the management of a pension fund. Small to mid-sized funds will increasingly need to address the issue of how to cope with these changes. This offers opportunities for an innovative firm like Compendeon that strongly believes a pension fund needs to have lasting autonomy.
Compendeon offers a complete range of services related to pension and investment management according to the "one-stop-shop' concept. Compendeon's primary business lines are:
- Strategic management
- Pension management
- Asset management
Feri was founded in 1987 as a research based, multi-family office. Feri has been active in alternatives since the early 1990s and has established a formal institutional consulting subsidiary, which began in 1996. With about 50 employees and several hundred billion euros of assets under advice, Feri Institutional Advisors is considered the leading institutional advisor in all of German-speaking Europe. Apart from traditional institutional consulting services, Feri also develops for and advises about one hundred customized multi-manager 'implemented consulting' solutions for institutional partners, many focusing on absolute return and alternative assets.
