MSC.Software introduceert SimOffice R2
Desktop CAE-oplossing verhoogt productiviteit
Gouda, 13 augustus 2007 -“ MSC.Software, aanbieder van simulatie- en ontwerpsoftware, annonceert SimOffice R2. SimOffice R2 is een kosteneffectieve desktop CAE-oplossing die de productiviteit van ontwerpanalyses verhoogt. SimOffice R2 biedt gebruikers meer functionaliteiten voor analyse, waaronder de analyse van contact tussen componenten, de mogelijkheid componenten die buiten de elasticiteitsgrenzen vervormen te analyseren en de mogelijkheid het gedrag van composieten te bestuderen. Gebruikers hebben meer controle door de uitgebreide eindige elementen modelleringcapaciteiten, zoals de mogelijkheid om allerlei verschillende randvoorwaarden aan delen van de constructie toe te kennen en het automatisch creëren van verbindingen tussen afzonderlijke componenten.
SimOffice is ontworpen voor een brede groep producenten, van het midden- en kleinbedrijf tot grotere ondernemingen, die CAE-capaciteit nodig hebben om aan de groeiende eisen van hun klanten te voldoen. SimOffice is geĂŻntegreerd met Microsoft software en wordt ondersteund door de standaard CAE-simulatiesoftware-oplossing MD Nastran. Met SimOffice kunnen bedrijven een snellere time-to-market en right-to-market behalen door de multi-CAD omgeving die werkt met bijna alle grote ontwerpsystemen, waaronder systemen van Dassault Systemes, Pro/Engineer en UGS. Daarnaast worden standaard CAD uitwisseling-formats, zoals Initial Graphics Exchange Specification (IGES), ondersteund.
SimOffice is de eerste CAE-omgeving die gecertificeerd is om met Windows Vista te werken en geschikt voor MS.net. Microsoft wordt inmiddels veel gebruikt bij ontwerp- en engineeringafdelingen. De integratie van SimOffice met Microsoft biedt daarom vele voordelen voor organisaties om CAE-analyse op te nemen in het engineering- en ontwerpproces. Een van die voordelen is de integratie met andere Microsoft producten, zoals Excel.
